Honda is by far my favorite make of cars. Eco line, low, and easy to work on. Parts are cheap and they run forever. With just a bit of work they can look great too. Acura is Hondas performance line of cars.

The EJ8

This is the EJ8, or 1997 Civic Ex Coupe. It comes stock with the D16Y8 SOHC VTEC engine. This engine makes about 127hp and 107 lb ft of torque from factory. Its also my first Honda. I love this car, besides a low performance engine, its great. Ive added a Yonoka exhaust, Invidia test pipe, Megan racing headers and an AEM intake to the car so far and it runs great. Motor recently spun a bearing and im in the process of swapping it.

Import or Domestic?

Import or Domestic?

Age old question of are you a Domestic car fan; Ford, Dodge, and Chevy. Or are you an Import fan; Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. Me personally, I'm an import kind of guy. Big heavy machines are not my kind of thing, I like small fast and can hang a turn.
        Some of you domestic people might say my engine is bigger and I've got a ton of HP off the line, so what? I'd rather take a turn at 80 MPH than drag a car in 8 seconds. So now I ask you, Domestic or Import?

D16Y8

The 6th Generation Honda Civic EJ8 came stock with a SOHC D16Y8 VTEC engine.They Suck. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_D_engine#D16Y8 This is the engine that is currently in my civic, the engine now has a spun bearing at around 256k miles. It will soon be replaced with a B20 engine out of a Honda CRV.
